Online Systems Development, inc. began business in Montana’s Bitterroot Valley in 1995 and operated under the business name dba: Bitterroot Internet.

We were one of very first Internet Service Providers to offer services within Montana. Always offering our customers the very best in services and customer support.  Today we remain a successful small Montana business but  now we are serving small business customers around the world.

I still have people tell me today that we were the best ISP they have yet experienced. We were very, very dedicated in those early days, just as we are today. We have experienced much and technology has evolved considerably.

In 2000 I sold the dialup portion of the business to a larger ISP that had a state-wide operation. My intent then as it is today, is to concentrate on what makes a success of a small business using current technology and methodologies.

The advent of changing technologies can help to drive the success of any small business. Those who would utilize sound responsible business practices and leverage the marketplace via the Internet can and will succeed.

The fly-in-the-ointment is that most small business ventures do not have the experience and expertise on-hand to implement current and emerging technologies.

The small business person is busily engaged in operating their venture and plainly do not have the time or desire to learn about and implement Internet technologies. Even knowing that these and other resources would further their bottom line.

Further study reveals problems involving improper or poor utilization of IP (Internet Protocol) technology as not being the only reason for startup failures and disappointing e-commerce ventures. Rather much has to do with the skill-sets, disciplines, life experiences and interests of the business persons themselves.

We all have our strengths and weaknesses. Knowing our own limitations is key and of first consideration when looking at our business circumstance from an out-side-the-box perspective.

That fact has led me toward discovering the mechanics of how to develop and deliver necessary resources ( read help ) to small business owners. To create a formula whereby small business and startups could plug-in to a better set of circumstances by lending them our experience, research and niche services.

Small business owners will now be able to obtain help with current technologies and smart low cost marketing techniques.

I understand fully the plight of the small business person conducting business on a shoestring budget in a tough economic climate. Though I must admit, I appreciate having and deserving to compete in a tough global marketplace to realize the successes I have achieved.
